ANTI-SCALANT – Specially formulated solution designed to reduce scale formation in RO plants
Recommended use: AQT 748 is a specially formulated solution designed to reduce scale formation in RO plants. It is also useful in other systems where iron and calcium carbonate scale, as well as calcium and barium sulphate scale need to be prevented.
Restriction on use: Not for food, drug or household use.
Features: Multiple mechanisms – Threshold inhibition, crystal habit modification, allows dispersion over a wide pH range. Effective against iron, silica most hardness scales. Product can function as a descaler at higher dosage concentrations.
Dosage and control: RO: Normally dosed at 3 to 8 ppm in the feed water depending on quality of feed water. Product can be dosed directly from the drum or other suitable container. May be dosed full strength or diluted to any convenient concentration.
Handling: Do not mix with other chemicals. Prevent contact with eyes.
Compatible materials: Stainless steel, Polyethylene, Polypropylene, PVC
Incompatible materials: Mild steel, Aluminium, Zinc, Copper.
Storage: Keep this product in original closed container in cool area away from heat and strong oxidizing agents. Do not store in mild steel containers unless suitably lined.

- DO NOT smoke, eat or drink anything when working with this product or before safety clothes are removed and hands and arms are properly washed.
- Contact on skin – wash thoroughly with soap and water.
- Contact with eyes – flush with water for 15 minutes and seek medical attention immediately
- Ingestion – drink plenty of water and obtain medical attention. DO NOT induce vomiting.
