AQT 884
COAGULANT – Combination coagulant/flocculant blend
Recommended use: AQT 884 is a pre-blended mix of multiple coagulants and flocculants, which finds suitable use across a wide range of processes. It contains both the coagulant and the flocculant in one blend, minimizing the dosing points needed on the plant.
Restriction on use: Not for food, drug or household use.
Features: Is a cost-effective product for producing potable water from raw water with high turbidity. It is also cost-effective in certain industrial effluent treatment applications, e.g. clarifiers. Can still perform well under fluctuating process conditions thanks to the synergy of the components in the blend. Is miscible with water in all proportions, so it can be dosed at any convenient concentration.
Dosage and control: Dose rate required is determined by means of jar tests. Typically, 10ppm is required to treat river water with turbidity less than 30 NTU. For potable water production, dosage should not exceed 100 ppm.
NOTE: AQT 884 should not be dosed upstream of a reverse osmosis unit. Should be dosed just before a mixing zone.
Handling: Do not mix with other chemicals. Prevent contact with eyes.
Compatible materials: Polyethylene, Polypropylene, PVC, most rubber.
Incompatible materials: Steel, Aluminium, Zinc, Copper. AQT 884 is not compatible with R.O. units.
Storage: Keep this product in original closed container in cool area, away from extremes of temperature. Keep away from strong oxidizing agents and alkalis. Do not store in steel containers unless suitably lined.
